A HOUSE

A HISTORY

The bedrooms of the Aspen House rest within the original homesteader cabin. Built in the late 1800s, it was one of the first homes built in this part of Teller County. The original logs were restored and preserved for our guests to enjoy, with the character left visible and the comfort upgraded throughout.

Across three years of careful work, the cabin’s story was uncovered piece by piece and brought back to life. Every surface you touch has been refreshed, but the soul of the homestead remains.

Even the bathroom sits against the exterior wall of the original cabin, a small reminder that you are staying inside something real, historic, and rare.

“The cabins are immaculate. Thank you for creating a premier retreat.”

-Melinda
